ABOUT ME
I’m Wenjie Lin (林文杰). I am currently a first-year Ph.D. student in Computer and Information Technology at Purdue Univeristy. My focus will be on AI and Robotics. I hope to use my knowledge and passion to tackle the important challenges in the world and free humanities with breakthrough technologies.
Previously, I got my master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Robotics and Control) at Columbia University. Before joining Columbia, I obtained my bachelor’s degree in Safety Engineering at University of Science and Technology Beijing (USTB) and used to study in UC Berkeley and UCLA as an exchange student in Mechanical Engineering.
In addition, I am a big fan of wake surfing, tennis, basketball, reading, guitar and singing!

- March 10, 2024 - Our paper “GRASNet: A Novel Graph Neural Network for Improving Human Action Recognition and Well-Being Assessment in Smart Manufacturing” has been accepted by NAMRC 52, 2024. [Oral]
- I will begin my Ph.D. journey at Purdue University on fall 23 with full RA scholarships. And I’ve got Presidential Doctoral Excellence Fellowships granted by Purdue. Thanks so much for the recognition.
- October 23, 2022 - I will give an oral presentation about a working paper “Primary Hyperhidrosis: A Review of Current Diagnosis and Management and Potential Engineering and Social Interventions” on IEEE-Universal Village 2022!
- September 14, 2022 - My paper “Deep Reinforcement Learning based Haptic Enhancement for Tele-Diagnosis” is published on FUZZ-IEEE (WCCI 2022).
- July 23, 2022 - I will give an oral presentation on WCCI 2022!
